RIB Software SE (RIB) signs a Phase-II-contract (No. 22 / 2021) with Van Wijnen Components

Vienna, Austria, 20 April 2021. RIB Software SE, the world's leading provider of iTWO 5D BIM Big Data technology for the construction and engineering industry, today announced the conclusion of a Phase-II-contract with Van Wijnen Components.

The Van Wijnen Group, with numerous locations in the Netherlands, has been realising housing projects of various sizes and characteristics for many years. With the new initiative "Fijn Wonen", the company has created a modern and fully digitalisable solution for affordable housing in Europe, whereby the end customer can also be ideally involved in the digital development of his property. The new, fully automated precast concrete plant, produces fully equipped concrete sandwich elements and prefabricated slabs for these projects, customised in batch size 1.

As part of this Phase-II-contract, RIB is supplying the iTWO technology for the realisation of a factory that automatically manufactures the necessary products directly from the BIM model and intelligently controls the plant's robotics. The RIB solution optimises the plant throughput and the full, digital integration of production. Thus, Van Wijnen's new modern precast factory sets the same standards for the construction industry as today's car factory does in the automotive industry.
