Per Norén Appointed President of Global Eagle Entertainment Inc.
LOS ANGELES, Nov. 08, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Global Eagle Entertainment Inc. (NASDAQ: ENT) (“Global Eagle,” the “Company” or “we”), a leading provider of media, content, connectivity and data analytics to markets across air, sea and land, today announced that Per Norén will be appointed to the position of President effective November 8, 2018. In his new role as President, Mr. Norén will have end-to-end responsibility for managing Global Eagle’s Aviation, Maritime, Enterprise, and Government businesses. He will drive the Company’s product design, sales, delivery and service processes and continue the post-merger integration of the Company’s prior acquisitions. Mr. Norén joined the Company in 2017 and most recently served as the Company’s Chief Commercial Officer. As the Chief Commercial Officer, Mr. Norén drove top line growth and efficiency through strategic, integration, and go-to-market improvements.

Prior to joining Global Eagle, Mr. Norén spent 10 years at The Boeing Company, including as the Chief Customer Officer for Digital Aviation. He was previously President and Chief Executive Officer of Carmen Systems, a technology, analytics, and software company for the aviation and transportation industries. Mr. Norén graduated from the Swedish Military Academy and the Gothenburg School of Business, Economics and Law at The University of Gothenburg, Sweden.
