ESO preliminary financial results for 7 months of 2018

Electricity and natural gas distribution company’s ESO revenue during 7 months of 2018 amounted to EUR 357.3 million and, compared to the same period of 2017, increased by 1.7%, when it totalled EUR 351.5 million. Increase in the electricity consumption of business customers helps to maintain stable revenues despite lower tariffs for electricity and natural gas, which were set for the customers of the Company.
During 7 months of 2018 ESO adjusted EBITDA* (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortization) amounted to EUR 97.9 million – 16.0% more compared to the same period of 2017, when the result was equal to EUR 84.4 million. The indicator increased due to more efficient Company’s activity and increasing investments into renewal and modernisation of networks.
*The Company’s preliminary EBITDA are reported after the adjustments made by management by eliminating the impact of one-off factors. These adjustments are made aiming to disclose the results of the Company’s operating activities after the elimination of the impact of non-typical, one-off factors or factors that are not directly related to the current reporting period. All adjustments made by management are disclosed in the Company’s interim and annual reports.
