Espial Bolsters North America Elevate SaaS Sales Team

Espial announced today the addition of three new members to the North American sales team to capitalize on the momentum and drive additional growth on the Espial Elevate Cloud SaaS platform for Cable and IPTV operators. With the new team members – including Matt James, Clayton Wagar and Doug Hull - Espial is poised to seize on the industry transition to cloud and IP video solutions by North American pay TV operators. The new team members bring a rich pedigree of pay TV experience, expertise and leadership to Espial.

Matt James joins Espial as the Vice President of Sales, North America. Mr. James has worked with dozens of customers to help them bring their pay TV business to the next level. Prior to Espial, Mr. James was Senior Vice President of North American Sales at TiVo and held a series of sale leadership roles at Alcatel-Lucent. He has an exceptional background in building successful teams and businesses in the North American IP Video marketplace.

Clayton Wagar joins as Vice President of Technical Sales, North America. Clayton is a recognized leader in the evolution of video systems and is responsible for the design and architecture of next generation IP Video solutions using the Espial Elevate SaaS Platform. Formerly, Clayton was Vice President of Technical Sales North America, Latin America, and Global Accounts at TiVo. He has additionally held senior leadership positions in the service provider market including Alcatel-Lucent and Motorola.

Doug Hull joins Espial from the National Cable Television Cooperative (NCTC) where he was Senior Director of Member Services for the last thirteen years and had responsibility for the Vu-It! platform. He has been instrumental in guiding the NCTC membership to next generation video solutions. He brings to Espial a strong track record of understanding and delivering solutions that support regional Pay TV operators’ business needs. For NCTC members, Doug will continue to play an instrumental role understanding their requirements and helping them evolve their video infrastructure in his new role.
