Exasol Names Thomas Siekmann Chief Information Officer

Thomas Siekmann's appointment will help Exasol continue to accelerate its growth and international expansion

Nuremberg, Germany - 28 April, 2021 - , the high-performance analytics database company, today announced it has named Thomas Siekmann Chief Information Officer (CIO). In this role, Mr. Siekmann will oversee the internal systems and services for all Exasol teams to ensure a future-proof landscape that can support Exasol's rapid international growth. Mr. Siekmann will report directly to Exasol CEO Aaron Auld and will be based in Germany.

Exasol went public in May 2020, the first German company to IPO last year, and has continued to grow impressively year-on-year in the highly promising Big Data and Business Analytics market.

Prior to joining Exasol, Mr. Siekmann held the position of VP of IT and Digitalization for Siemens Gamesa Renewable Service GmbH. Other previous positions include Chief Digital Officer at Mueller, CIO at Unify, and Head of Global Business Operations at Deutsche Telekom.
