Fidelity Bank Named Top In-State Bank by Forbes Magazine

DUNMORE, Pa., July 20, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Forbes Magazine has rated Fidelity Bank one of the top three banks in Pennsylvania and one of the Best in-state Banks in 2018.  In collaboration with the analytics firm Statista, more than 25,000 study participants were asked to rate banks in Pennsylvania on various criteria including trustworthiness, digital services, financial advice, branch services and general satisfaction.

A bank’s score is a direct reflection of customer opinion and satisfaction. Only banks receiving the highest ratings are awarded the title "Best-In-State".  Only 124 banks in the country (2.2%) received this honor. Banks that have branches in at least 15 states were excluded from the survey.

“This award is very important, as it measures the client experience, rather than financial measurements,” explains Daniel J. Santaniello, President and CEO of Fidelity Bank. “We have been named a Top 200 Bank by American Bankers for five consecutive years based on Return on Average Equity.  The Forbes recognition along with the experience we provide our clients is what enables us to achieve the strong financial performance. In addition, it is a testament to the Fidelity Bankers’ commitment to the “Fidelity Model Experience” and their focus on relationship management strategy.”

The survey measured three broad categories: recommendations, general satisfaction, and the sub dimensions of Trust, Terms and Conditions, Branch Service, Digital Services, and Financial Advice.  Participants in the survey must live in the United States and have a checking or savings account at a bank.  To be part of the assessed group, Fidelity Bank needed at least 40 evaluations from customers and needed to score at least 70 out of 100% on the measurement tool. The mean score for all banks was 75.19.  Fidelity Banks score of 84.58 placed it at #3 in Pennsylvania and only 6 points off the #1 placed bank.  The score also placed it well ahead of national banks discounted from the survey because of size.  Their mean score averaged around 65.00.

Fidelity Bank serves Lackawanna and Luzerne Counties through 10 community banking office locations providing personal and business banking products and services, including wealth management assistance through fiduciary activities with the Bank’s full trust powers; as well as offering a full array of asset management services.  The Bank provides 24 hour, 7 day a week service to customers through branch offices, online at , and through the Customer Care Center at 800-388-4380.
