First National Bank Customers Can Now Manage Debit Cards from Mobile Banking with New Module for Mobiliti from Fiserv

Fiserv, Inc. (NASDAQ:FISV), a leading global provider of financial services technology solutions, today announced that First National Bank of Pennsylvania, the largest subsidiary of F.N.B. Corporation (NYSE:FNB), has upgraded to the latest version of the Mobiliti Advantage™ mobile banking and payments platform and added mobile card control capabilities. The bank is the first Mobiliti client to integrate card control capabilities into their mobile app.

The new card control module, a version of the CardValet® solution from Fiserv branded by the bank as CardGuardSM, is a valuable tool that can help customers stay on top of their finances. Users can control access to their debit card in real-time and receive alerts related to card usage via their mobile banking app. Customers can set transaction dollar limits, set parameters for debit card usage by merchant type, such as gas, grocery or retail stores, and turn their card on and off, all from their phone. They can also set geographical limits on debit card usage for added security.

Implementing new digital banking capabilities via modules enables financial institutions to maximize the value of their existing platform. New capabilities can be added without the time and expense often associated with moving to a new version. With implementation via modules, financial institutions have more flexibility to choose how and when banking initiatives are delivered, and can bring new services to market more quickly in order to deliver the experience customers want and expect.

In addition to the card control module for Mobiliti Advantage, Fiserv offers a touch ID module that enables seamless and secure biometric log-in to mobile banking, and a marketing and communication module that enable banks to deliver customized and targeted messaging directly within their mobile app.

“In a world that is moving faster than ever before, it is imperative that financial institutions be able to extend the value of their investment in the mobile channel,” said Kevin Schultz, president, Digital Banking, Fiserv. “Adding new capabilities via modules gives customers access to new capabilities more quickly, and gives financial institutions like First National Bank the flexibility to offer a customized selection of mobile tools that meet the needs of their customers and allow them to stand out in a crowded market.”

Mobiliti from Fiserv currently powers mobile financial services for millions of consumers at more than 2,200 banks and credit unions on five continents. The solution was recognized as a market leader in the Ovum Decision Matrix for “Next Generation Mobile Banking Solution” and as a Mobile Banking and Payments Leader in the IDC Financial Insights Mobile Banking MarketScape. In addition, CEB TowerGroup honored Mobiliti with four "Best in Class" distinctions in its most recent, global mobile technology analysis.
