Five Below Partners With Charities to Give Back

PHILADELPHIA, PA, Sept. 28, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Philadelphia-based retail brand Five Below (NASDAQ: FIVE) is proud to announce they recently began new partnerships with two special charities. Over 100,000 backpacks were donated to the Kids In Need Foundation® and $100,000 was donated to Best Friends Animal Society®.

Throughout the month of August, customers donated $5 at the register in Five Below stores towards backpacks to help kids get first-day-of-school ready through the Kids In Need Foundation. Thanks to the generosity of their customers, Five Below donated over 100,000 backpacks to kids in schools across the country. The Kids In Need Foundation provides free school supplies to students in need, making sure they are ready to learn and take on the year.

In September, Five Below began supporting Best Friends Animal Society, an organization dedicated to animal welfare. The company made a $100,000 donation and started exclusively selling Best Friends Animal Society merchandise in stores and online at fivebelow.com. Tees for pets and their owners, mugs, water bottles, blankets and more are being sold to help raise animal rescue awareness.
