Dear Sir or Madam,

We would like to inform you that the Hessian Minstry of Economics and Transport approved the airport charges for Frankfurt Airport submitted by Fraport AG.

Fraport AG submitted the charge application at the beginning of July. The new charging system again includes incentives to reduce the noise burden in Frankfurt and the surrounding areas. Airlines using quieter aircraft receive financial benefits. Airlines that use louder aircraft, that fly in the off peak hours from 5am to 6am and from 10pm to 11pm, or that land after 11pm will pay higher fees in the future.

The approval was preceded by a comprehensive administrative procedure lasting several months. More than 100 airlines, their associations, the noise abatement commission and the noise abatement officer were involved. They all had the opportunity to comment.

The new charges for the airlines will apply from 1 January 2020.

Kind regards

In the run-up to the 2024 Summer Olympic Games and Euro 2024 football tournament, we have identified six stocks to favour: JCDecaux, Accor, Sodexo, adidas, Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield and easyJet. While these two major sporting events are not expected to have a significant impact on the host economies in the medium term, the microeconomic and sectoral impacts should be more marked. The tourism, transport, beverages and consumer goods sectors are expected to be the main winners. Som...
