GURU Organic Energy Achieves Record Month on Amazon Driven by July Prime Day

Sales Increase 40% in Canada and 96% in the U.S. During the Four-Day Event

MONTRÉAL, Aug. 21, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- GURU Organic Energy Corp. (TSX: GURU) (“GURU” or the “Company”), Canada’s leading organic energy drink brand1, is proud to announce that July 2025 has become the strongest month ever for its Amazon sales in both Canada and the United States, driven by a record-breaking Prime Day event.

GURU entered Prime Day with strong momentum, resulting in record-breaking performance during this tentpole event. The Company achieved strong sales growth during the four-day Prime Day event, up 40% in Canada and 96% in the United States versus 2024. Performance exceeded last year’s results on the traditional two Prime Days, while the additional two “bonus” days drove sales at two to five times the Company’s normal daily run rate in both markets.

These results drove a new monthly record on Amazon, with U.S. sales surpassing a major milestone for the first time.

Carl Goyette, President and CEO of GURU, commented: “GURU’s success during Amazon’s July Prime Day reflects the strength of our brand among health-conscious consumers in Canada and the U.S. Beyond the impressive sales growth, we are especially encouraged by the record number of total customers and the significant increase in new-to-brand buyers. Just as importantly, our repeat purchase rates remain well above industry norms, showing that once consumers discover GURU, they keep coming back. This validates our strategy of leveraging high-traffic events to accelerate awareness and drive long-term growth.”

In the U.S. category overall, competitive dynamics continue to shift, with smaller brands outperforming some incumbents. GURU remains focused on capturing market share in the growing clean and organic energy drink segment.
