IDC and Boxxle (along with Alfa Laval, The Aran Group, and Goglio) are members of the recently formed Alliance for Aseptic Foodservice™ (AAF™). The AAF™ mission is to offer the food and beverage industry a turnkey, large-format aseptic packaging solution for foodservice, a sector that lacks a large-size aseptic packaging option. While foodservice represents approximately 50% of global food and beverage consumption, less than 5% of aseptic packaging is utilized in foodservice today. Ingeniously compact, simple to use, and maintenance free, the new stainless Boxxle unit designed for IDC and the AAF™ is equipped with a touch screen from which the end-user can prominently display anything it wants, from brand name to product type, while controlling temperature and monitoring usage data. Easy to program and re-program, the units are silent and smart, provide a consistent flow from beginning to end, and guarantee virtually 100% product evacuation. The new Boxxle design can be scaled to handle the full spectrum of aseptic bag sizes (3 to 20 liters) for foodservice.
