First Internet Bank Recognized as Top Workplace, Honored for Leadership

First Internet Bank announced it has been ranked #4 on the list of Top Workplaces in Indianapolis. This is the fifth consecutive year the Bank has earned the honor from The Indianapolis Star, and the first time it has won a special award for company leadership.

Evaluation for the Top Workplaces award is based entirely upon a survey of employee feedback. Conducted by Energage, a leading provider of technology-based employee engagement, the employee assessment measures several aspects of workplace culture including alignment, execution and connection. The survey also measures employee engagement in retention, motivation and referral. With a standout score among midsize companies participating in the survey, First Internet Bank earned special distinction for employee confidence in company leadership.

“Knowing that this distinction is based exclusively on internal feedback makes this honor especially rewarding,” said David Becker, President and CEO. “We strive to provide an exceptional culture by empowering our employees, maintaining a two-way dialogue with our teams, and creating opportunities for professional development… and fun.”

“Top Workplaces is more than just recognition — it’s an achievement organizations have worked for and a distinction that gives them a competitive advantage,” says Doug Claffey, CEO of Energage. “Our research shows organizations that earn the award attract better talent, experience lower turnover, and are better equipped to deliver bottom-line results. Their leaders prioritize and carefully craft a healthy workplace culture that supports employee engagement.”

There were 90 Central Indiana companies identified as Top Workplaces in 2018. For more information about Top Workplaces, please visit www.topworkplaces.com.
