The U.S. DOT notes that of the more than 5.7 million vehicle crashes each year, approximately 22% of these crashes are weather related. The purpose of the event is to provide a venue for peer exchange between the transportation and weather communities consisting of State Departments of Transportation, local agencies, academia, vendors, weather service providers (public and private), and consultants. The event will include presentations, facilitated discussions, and networking opportunities for all participants.
