Transition Networks to Showcase Latest Network Conversion, Extension, and Power Solutions at 2017 BICSI Winter

Transition Networks, Inc., a leading provider of innovative, high-value, data network integration solutions, today announced it will display various solutions from its extensive product portfolio at the 2017 BICSI Winter Conference & Exhibition. Some of the products on the show floor this month will include the company’s industry-leading media converters, a variety of Power over Ethernet (PoE) products, and several other recently or soon-to-be released items.

The conference is taking place January 22-26, 2017, at the Tampa Convention Center in Tampa, Florida, and Transition Networks will be in Booth #712. In addition to the products showcased in its booth, Transition Networks will also display its Ethernet Extenders with PoE+ in the New Product Pavilion (NPP) where visitors can vote for the Best in Show exhibitor as well as first place winners in each of the NPP categories. These Ethernet Extenders provide the ability to quickly and easily upgrade Ethernet networks with PoE-powered IP devices using existing cabling infrastructure.

Products on Display at Booth #712

  • Comprehensive Line of Media Converters – A complete offering of media conversion products including the basic, cost-effective Mini media converters as well as the more feature-rich ION Multi-Service Integration Platform media converters will be exhibited. These industry-leading media converters are used to affordably connect a fiber infrastructure to equipment with copper RJ-45 ports.
  • PoE Solutions – A wide assortment of PoE media converters, enterprise switches and hardened Ethernet switches will also be shown. These products are used to power network devices such as IP cameras, voice over IP (VoIP) phones, wireless access points (WAPs), and door access controllers.
  • New Products – Several recently released and soon-to-be-released products can also be seen on display. Ethernet Extenders with PoE+ allow use of existing coax or 2-wire cabling to extend Ethernet beyond the traditional 100-meter cable limit. Additionally, they provide full PoE+ power to connected IP devices in remote locations that are difficult or costly to run power cables, reducing installation cost and time to service. Also on display will be new industrial-rated switches and managed PoE+ switches with various port counts. These switches feature Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) Server Port-Based Address Allocation and Auto Power Reset (APR) to make the installation and maintenance of IP cameras quick and easy.

“The network infrastructure, including switches, fiber-optic links, and unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cabling, is one of the most critical elements for delivering Ethernet services,” said Curt Carlson of Transition Networks. “We consider the BICSI Winter Conference and Exhibition to be one of the most important conferences for networking infrastructure and we look forward to sharing our new solutions with the BICSI community in our 16th year of attendance.”

Win a YETI Cooler

Visitors to the Transition Networks booth will have a chance to win a YETI cooler by completing an in-booth survey or by redeeming an official BICSI cup/can cooler that is marked with a “winner” sticker.
