Kimball International Donates $10,000 Each to Salem and Dubois, Indiana Communities

JASPER, Ind., July 02, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Kimball International, Inc. (NASDAQ:KBAL) recently made cash donations of $10,000 each to the Salem and Dubois, Indiana communities.  Salem is home to one of the company’s manufacturing facilities.  Dubois is near the company’s Jasper, Indiana headquarters and home to many employees over the years.

Following Salem’s devastating flood in May 2017, the company donated $25,000 for recovery efforts.  Lonnie Nicholson, Chief Administrative Officer, Kimball International stated, “Our company is pleased to donate an additional $10,000 to the city of Salem to assist with public safety programs.   This donation will help make the community an even better place to work and live.”  Salem Mayor Troy Merry added, “The money will be split evenly between the police and fire departments for public safety.  Kimball International wanted to give back to the community again and we are very grateful.  Kimball International is a great asset to the community.” 

In Dubois, the local Ruritan Club has been investing in the community by providing a central green park with aspirations to build a community center.  Lonnie Nicholson said, “Our company strives to give back to the communities in which a large base of our employees call home.”  Dubois Ruritan Treasurer and employee of Kimball International Brandi Dodd added, “We thank Kimball International for their generous donation of $10,000 to the Dubois Community Park Center project. We are fortunate to have such a great company believe in our project and our town.”

These donations were made through the company’s Kimball International-Habig Foundation, established by founder Mr. Arnold Habig.
