Keysight Technologies Introduces First Comprehensive DDR5 Testing Solution

Keysight Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: KEYS), a leading technology company that helps enterprises, service providers, and governments accelerate innovation to connect and secure the world, announced the industry’s first comprehensive double data rate (DDR) 5.0 test solution. Keysight’s total solution approach to includes a new receiver, transmitter, and protocol test solutions. This will enable the ability to perform all test requirements in the DDR5 design specification.

Each new generation of DDR synchronous dynamic random-access memory (SDRAM) provides increased data transfer speeds, a reduced footprint, and improved power efficiency. As the speed of DDR technology increases, engineers face new design and validation challenges. Design error margins decrease, and signal integrity becomes challenging to maintain.

The complete test solution includes transmit (Tx) to receiver (Rx) software along with test fixtures which provide a comprehensive parametric test suite to fully test and characterize DDR5 designs. The new receiver and transmitter test solution also includes high performance and hardware with the lowest noise and jitter floor to allow the most accurate measurement with highest margins.
