Leclanché to Exhibit its Vehicle Electrification Capabilities for the Heavy-Duty Vehicle Sector at Solutrans 2023 in Lyon

YVERDON-LES-BAINS, Switzerland, 15^th  November 2023 – (SIX: LECN), one of the world’s leading energy storage solutions companies, will be showcasing its latest vehicle electrification technology for the heavy duty commercial vehicle industry at the upcoming conference, in Hall 1, stand D 034 being held in Lyon, France, from 21 to 25 November 2023.

Leclanché will be exhibiting its range of high-powered commercial vehicle battery systems, suitable for a variety of different applications including road, off-road, construction and agricultural machines. The packs, which are all designed and manufactured in-house at their high-capacity state-of-the-art automated production sites in Switzerland and Germany, are optimal for long-life applications, offering high energy density and cells with an industry leading life of up to 8,000 cycles.

The zero-emissions battery systems are designed in line with the most stringent industry standards to ensure the highest safety levels. Leclanché batteries contain cells with laminated ceramic separators to provide protection against internal short circuits, a reduced electrolyte design and surface temperature detection. Liquid cooling plates are installed between each module, avoiding hot spots as well as prolonging the lifespan of the batteries and enabling faster charging times. The battery switchbox and pre-charge circuits are also controlled by proprietary
Leclanché battery management systems.

Leclanché’s E-Mobility team is a leader in the electrification of land and sea fleet vehicles from standard and specialty trucks to railroad locomotives, ferries, container ships and other marine vessels. The business unit’s technology is used to help vehicle designers and OEMs to design and produce hybrid and fully electric vehicles used in a wide range of demanding applications.
