Completion of the sale of Sobieski Trade
Marie Brizard Wine & Spirits (Euronext : MBWS) today announced the completion of the sale of its Polish wholesale business, Sobieski Trade, to the Polish group United Beverages, following the approval of the Polish Competition Authority as announced on November 7, 2019.
As announced on August 5, 2019, this sale is part of Marie Brizard Wine & Spirits’ 2019-2022 strategic plan which includes a review of its activities, particularly as regards their ability to create long-term value for the Group. In this respect, the sale of Sobieski Trade will allow the deconsolidation of a loss-making entity from the Group with an accretive impact on its EBITDA.
Financial calendar
Marie Brizard Wine & Spirits will announce its sales for both the fourth quarter and 2019 on February 13, 2020.
