Morgan Stanley Partnered with Taproot Foundation to Host Fifth ScopeAthon with 10 Non-Profits

Morgan Stanley (NYSE:MS) today announced 44 employees participated in the firm’s fifth ScopeAthon event this year to help 10 nonprofits build actionable plans to tackle a mission-critical challenge.

This ScopeAthon was a half-day, pro bono consulting event, pairing teams of Morgan Stanley employees with local nonprofit organizations. The participating nonprofits presented an organizational challenge currently facing their group and were matched with teams of employees who leveraged their skillsets to help develop an informed, detailed scope of work with actionable next steps for the nonprofit to overcome the issue.

During Morgan Stanley’s five ScopeAthons this year, over 250 Morgan Stanley employees were engaged to work on a combined 56 projects, donating over 1,000 hours of their time. Yesterday’s event brings the firm's total amount of employee donated professional services to over $2.3 million in 2018.
