Orion Energy Systems Announces Appointment of New Director

MANITOWOC, Wis.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Orion Energy Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: OESX), a leading designer and manufacturer of high-performance, energy-efficient retrofit lighting platforms, announced today that it has increased the size of its Board of Directors to nine, and appointed Ellen B. Richstone to serve as an independent member of the Board, effective as of May 24, 2017.

Ms. Richstone has served in a number of leadership roles, including chief financial officer of several public and private companies, including Rohr Aerospace, a Fortune 500 company; president and chief executive officer of the Entrepreneurial Resources Group; and the financial expert on the Board of Directors of American Power Conversion, an S&P 500 company. Ms. Richstone currently serves on the boards of three other public companies: eMagin Corporation, Superior Industries International and BioAmber Inc. Ellen is also currently on the Board of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), the New England Chapter; and was the recipient of the first Annual Distinguished Director Award from the ACCD (American College of Corporate Directors).
