NAFE: Helping women succeed

The annual NAFE Women of Excellence Awards honors the achievements and accomplishments of outstanding women committed to serving and enriching their workplaces, their communities and the world. Winners are chosen for their vision, courage, compassion, proven success and generosity as demonstrated by how they help other women and girls succeed.

"Business and corporate women who focus on ensuring the success of other women often do this work under the radar, and it is our privilege to call them out as NAFE Women of Excellence,” says Dr. Betty Spence, president of NAFE. “Our 2016 honorees have achieved great—often glittering—success in their own careers and businesses; and what's more, they are using their power and influence to spur the progress of younger women by sponsoring, mentoring, promoting, and funding them, breaking barriers and changing policies so those coming up have a clearer path to success than they might have had."

Subha V. Barry, vice president, general manager, Working Mother Media, says, “This year’s ‘Women of Excellence’ inspire us with their diverse backgrounds, accomplishments and not only achieving success but helping other women succeed. They are changing the landscape for women by mentoring women in their workplaces and communities.”

Biographies of the 2016 NAFE Women of Excellence honorees, including Feeney, can be found on NAFE’s website.
