Public Storage (NYSE:PSA) opened hundreds of new storage units in the South Bay area of Los Angeles, providing needed storage in an area where enough convenient facilities weren’t already available.

The latest Public Storage at 16100 S Avalon Blvd. Gardena, CA 90746 opened 350 new units for South Bay locals and workers this week near the 91 Freeway and the city of Carson. The company plans to open 800 more storage units in the three-story facility later this month.

The facility will serve residents of the growing and diversifying neighborhoods in Gardena and Carson, as well as other nearby South Bay cities. Located on Avalon Boulevard, the location is convenient for commuters and locals alike.

“There really wasn’t a lot of storage in the area,” said Doug Gasperik, the Public Storage construction manager who helped build the new facility. “But we’ve changed that.”

The storage location is indoors and climate controlled. The storage units near Carson are available in a range of prices to suit personal and business needs, from small to extra-large.
