Qumu Adds Vice President of Marketing to Growing Executive Team

Qumu (NASDAQ: QUMU), a leader in enterprise video, announced the hiring of technology and software as a service (SaaS) industry executive Eric Rudolf to guide the next phase of the company’s marketing strategy. As Vice President of Marketing, Rudolf will work with sales and channel development teams to accelerate the growth of Qumu’s already market-leading list of Fortune 1000 clients.

“Eric brings deep experience marketing SaaS and other technologies in key vertical industries where video is growing,” said Vern Hanzlik, President and CEO of Qumu. “His addition to the executive team will help us amplify Qumu’s trusted brand and expand our global sales and partner channels.”

Rudolf’s background includes over 20 years of enterprise marketing experience with a variety of technologies including education, manufacturing, supply chain, professional development, e-commerce and automotive. He also has extensive experience growing revenues in venture capital and private equity-funded environments, most recently participating in the $6.5 billion acquisition and merger of over a dozen automotive technology brands, including three in the Minneapolis metro area.

“It’s rare in the technology industry to find great people working on a market-leading product in a growing industry,” said Rudolf. “But when you find all three, magic always happens. The enterprise video market hasn’t seen half of what the Qumu solution can offer, and I’m excited to help the sales and channel development teams spread the word and grow this company.”

Hanzlik added, “The announcement of Qumu’s Qx strategy, was highly praised by analysts, customers and potential partners as we opened our enterprise-grade video content management and delivery platform to 3rd party developers and integrators. Eric will play a vital role in creating new opportunities for Qumu’s offering.”

Announced on May 18th, Qumu Qx is the industry’s most extensible, end-to-end enterprise video platform addressing the exponential growth of video in global businesses. Qx is highly modular, with open APIs, making it even easier for third party developers to add extensions like Qumu’s seamless integration with Microsoft Office 365, Skype for Business and Citrix.
