Appointment of Group Finance Director                                                                                                          

Rathbone Brothers Plc (“Rathbones”) today announces that Jennifer Mathias has been appointed Group Finance Director, subject to regulatory approval. Jennifer will join Rathbones on 1 April 2019 and will also be appointed as an Executive Director to the Rathbones board and a member of the Group Executive Committee. This role will sit alongside the roles of the CEO and Managing Director of Rathbone Investment Management, increasing the total number of Executive Directors on the board from two to three.

Jennifer joins Rathbones from EFG Private Bank (UK), where she has been Chief Finance Officer (“CFO”) and Deputy Chief Executive Officer since 2015. Prior to this position, Jennifer was Global CFO at Coutts and has held various senior finance positions at Lloyds Banking Group over a 16 year period.

Paul Stockton, current Group Finance Director, has been operating a dual role as Managing Director of Rathbone Investment Management since 1 May 2018. Following Jennifer’s appointment, Paul will resume the latter Executive Director role on a full time basis but will work closely with Jennifer to ensure a smooth transition.
