RLI Corp. (NYSE: RLI) -- RLI Corp. announced today that Seth A. Davis has been named Vice President, Corporate Services. Davis will lead the company’s assessment of internal controls over financial reporting, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and other non-audit governance activities.
Davis began his career at RLI in 2004 as Manager, Internal Audit and was promoted to VP, Internal Audit in 2005. He has more than 22 years of industry experience. Prior to joining RLI, he served as internal audit director for CNA in Chicago. Davis holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting from Illinois State University and an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Patrick D. Ferrell has been named Vice President, Internal Audit, succeeding Davis. Ferrell will lead company internal audit assurance and advisory activities. He began his career at RLI in 2004 as Senior Auditor, Internal Audit, and was promoted to Audit Director in 2006 and AVP, Internal Audit in 2012. Prior to that he served as an internal auditor and claims specialist at State Farm for more than 10 years. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Bethany College.
