Sienna's BC Care Communities Awarded Accreditation with Exemplary Standing
MARKHAM, Ontario, July 11, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Sienna Senior Living Inc. (“Sienna”) is pleased to announce that its eight residential care communities in British Columbia have once again been successfully accredited, having received a four-year Accreditation with Exemplary Standing—the highest distinction awarded by Accreditation Canada. This honour recognizes Sienna’s BC residential care communities for going beyond the requirements of the rigorous national accreditation program and for demonstrating excellence in quality improvement.

Accreditation provides an independent, third-party assessment of health care and seniors’ living organizations’ standards based on current best practices used and validated by similar organizations around the world.
To receive exemplary standing, an organization must meet all required organizational practices and 95% or more of identified high priority standards. Sienna met all of the required organizational practices, and achieved 98.2% of the high priority standards.

Sienna’s Ontario long-term care communities received the highest possible accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) in 2016.
