Stewart today announced the appointment of Michael Tafoya as group senior vice president of direct operations. In this role, Michael will report to Dave Fauth, group president of direct operations, and will oversee business operations and strategy with responsibility for top-line growth of the Western states.

Tafoya brings more than 32 years of experience in title industry sales, marketing and operational leadership, as well as considerable knowledge of the technical aspects of title insurance and escrow settlement services. He most recently served as co-founder and chief executive officer for Title365 Company and president of its affiliated businesses, X1 Analytics, Xome Signings and its technology company X1 Labs. Under Michael’s skilled leadership, Title365 expanded into five states and generated $150 million in annual revenue. It was also named one of the fasted growing private companies by the Orange County Business Journal.
Mike also served as executive vice president for a top national underwriter in Southern California and has held executive-level positions at several other national and regional underwriters.
