Astro Aerospace's “ELROY” Featured In Leading Media Authority in North America on Electric and Hybrid-Electric Powered Aircrafts

Astro Aerospace's “ELROY” Featured In Leading Media Authority in North America on Electric and Hybrid-Electric Powered Aircrafts

Dallas, Texas, Nov. 08, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Astro Aerospace (OTCMarkets: “ASDN”), a company creating autonomous, eVTOL (Electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing) aerial vehicles and drones is pleased to announce that the Astro Aerospace “Elroy” was featured in Electric VTOL News, one of the category leaders on the progress of electric and hybrid-electric powered Vertical Take-Off and Landing aircrafts.

The article features the success of the “Elroy,” Astro’s PassengerDrone, which was strategically acquired earlier in the year, and that became the first step of the company's corporate mission of “self-flying unmanned and manned vehicles becoming a mainstream mode of transportation.” Astro Aerospace received a Special Flights Operations Certificate (SFOC) in September from Transport Canada, which allowed them to conduct multiple unmanned flight tests just outside of Toronto at the Markham Airport.

The company has already begun developing the Elroy 2.0, which should be introduced to the market in the next 6-9 months.

“It has been an incredible journey over the last 3 years to culminate to this point. What started as a simple vision has become reality with the “Elroy” unmanned flights. We are extremely excited to continue testing and improving our product to get it ready for commercial availability,” stated CEO Bruce Bent.

“We have made several leaps forward with not only the design and functionality of the Elroy, but also with the inclusion of several high end technologies, “Elroy” can take off, land and perform all stages of flight maneuvering completely autonomously or with the use of a joystick,” continued Mr. Bent. “We are extremely excited about 2019 to continue further testing on our current model and the inaugural flight of Elroy 2.0”
