Dan Strömberg becomes the new CEO of Telia Lietuva
Dan Strömberg will become the new CEO of Telia Lithuania. The current CEO, Kęstutis Šliužas, has decided to resign to pursue new challenges after a handover period over summer to ensure a smooth transition.
Dan Strömberg will assume the role of the CEO of Telia Lietuva from today, 4 July 2018.
“I am happy and excited to take on this challenge and move back to Lithuania where I have previously spent several years. I really like the country and believe our operations here have huge potential when it comes to digitalization, converged customer offerings, and technological innovation to make our customers´ lives simpler and more comfortable,” commented Dan Strömberg.
“It has been dynamic, successful, and very interesting 5 years for me. We´ve made an important cultural journey and started a digital transformation that needs to continue. The business is on a good trajectory with a lot of future potential. I believe 4-5 years is an optimal period for the role and have therefore decided to move on to new ideas and challenges, being certain that the rapid development of Telia Lietuva will continue. The new CEO of Telia Lietuva Dan Strömberg was previously the CEO of Telia Eesti since January 2016. Prior to that he led Omnitel in Lithuania (2013-2015) and Telia´s broadband business in Denmark (2009-2012). Overall, Dan Strömberg has more than 25 years of experience in different leading positions in Telia Company, extensive knowledge about mobility, broadband and IT business, and high variety of experience with different markets.
