Tremor Video, Inc. (NYSE:TRMR), a provider of software for video ad effectiveness, announced today that Kevin Thompson, former Vice President of Engineering for Google, has joined its Board of Directors.

Mr. Thompson is an experienced technology executive with significant expertise in video advertising. He has successfully led engineering teams, increased viewership and revenues and improved measurement capabilities in a variety of video and advertising businesses.

Most recently, Mr. Thompson led Google’s YouTube Ads engineering team. He was recognized for significantly increasing revenue while keeping YouTube free for more than a billion users as well as improving ad measurement and user experience by developing the TrueView family of ad formats.

Prior to his twelve years at Google, Mr. Thompson worked at Intraspect Software, TimeDance and NASA, where he held senior positions in engineering, software, design and platform development.
