El Consejo de Administración de Tenaris Brinda su Pleno Apoyo a su Presidente y CEO y a otros dos Consejeros

LUXEMBURGO, Feb. 14, 2020 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Tenaris S.A. (NYSE, México: TS y MTA Italia: TEN) emitió hoy el siguiente comunicado:

Tenaris ha sido informada de que la corte italiana que supervisa la investigación respecto ciertos pagos presuntamente impropios hechos en Brasil en supuesto beneficio de Confab Industrial S.A., una subsidiaria brasileña de la Sociedad, ha decidido elevar el caso a juicio. El caso involucra al Presidente del Consejo de Administración y CEO Paolo Rocca, a los miembros del Consejo Gianfelice Rocca y Roberto Bonatti, y al accionista controlante de la Sociedad, San Faustin S.A.

Los asesores legales externos de la Sociedad habían revisado previamente los archivos de la investigación proporcionados por los fiscales italianos intervinientes y han informado al Consejo que ni tales archivos ni la decision del magistrado incluyen evidencia alguna del involucramiento de cualquiera de los tres consejeros en las supuestas prácticas ilegales. Consecuentemente, el Consejo de Administración de Tenaris ha llegado a la conclusión de que por el momento no se requiere adoptar ninguna medida concreta fuera de invitar los consejeros a continuar cumpliendo con sus respectivas responsabilidades con el pleno apoyo del Consejo.
