Collaborative Health Systems to Present at 2016 National Association of Accountable Care Organizations (NAACOS) Conference

Collaborative Health Systems (CHS), a Universal American company (NYSE: UAM), announced today that its president, Jeffery Spight, will present at the National Association of Accountable Care Organizations (NAACOS) Fall 2016 Conference, September 28-30 at the Capital Hilton in Washington, D.C.

CHS currently partners with approximately 5,000 providers, mostly primary care physicians, in one Next Generation ACO Model and 22 Medicare Shared Savings Program ACOs, covering 239,000 Medicare beneficiaries. In 2015, 18 of these ACOs generated nearly $100 million in savings for Medicare and 10 of these ACOs generated $40 million in shared savings revenue.

Mr. Spight is a member-at-large on the 2016 NAACOS Board of Directors. He will present during three different sessions:

  • As part of the keynote panel on Thursday, September 29, with Sean Cavanaugh, deputy administrator and director of the Center for Medicare at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, on 2015 Performance Year results and how ACOs can learn from the experiences of the ACOs that generated shared savings and improved quality scores.
  • As part of a panel on “Identifying the Best Model for Your ACO: Alternatives to MSSP Track One” on Thursday, September 29.
  • And, as part of a panel discussion about “MACRA Implementation: Critical Details for ACOs,” on Friday, September 30.

Paul Jernigan, general counsel for Collaborative Health Systems, will speak on a panel on Thursday, September 29, about how ACOs can develop strong compliance programs.
