LRAD® Corporation Announces $1.1 Million in International Mass Notification Orders
San Diego, Calif., Oct. 03, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- SAN DIEGO, CA – October 3, 2018 - LRAD Corporation (NASDAQ: LRAD), a global leader in long range voice broadcast systems, advanced mass notification, and distributed recipient software solutions, today announced mass notification orders for one of the largest oil and gas companies in Eurasia, the United States Army (“Army”), and an international air base.
The Eurasian oil and gas company that systems is expanding its use of LRAD mass notification solutions at one of its refineries by installing horn arrays with battery backup. The 60° horns will be placed on buildings and in transient areas, linked via LRAD’s Command and Control software, and integrated with gas detection alarm systems to provide communication and emergency warning throughout the facility.
Additionally, two orders for military bases were received. The Army ordered a follow-on for deployment at an overseas forward operating base. The self-contained, self-powered mobile mass notification solution is integrated with an early warning system and can be rapidly deployed anywhere on a forward operating base. Multiple systems were also ordered for an international airfield to provide base-wide mass notification. Each LRAD 360X will be pole-mounted and linked using LRAD’s Command and Control software to enable on-the-fly messaging in multiple languages and system status monitoring. LRAD’s Command and Control software is user-friendly, flexible, and easily integrates with fire alarm and other 3rd party systems.
