Voya Investment Management Named to Pensions & Investments Magazine’s “Best Places to Work in Money Management” List for the Third Consecutive Year

Voya Investment Management, the asset management business of Voya Financial, Inc. (NYSE:VOYA), announced today it has been named to Pensions & Investments magazine’s 2017 “Best Places to Work in Money Management” list. Voya ranked third in the category of firm’s that have between 500 and 999 employees. This is the third consecutive year that Voya has been named to the list.

“Considering the competition in the asset management space, it is truly an honor for Voya Investment Management to have made P&I’s list for the third consecutive year,” said Christine Hurtsellers, chief executive officer, Voya Investment Management. “Our industry has seen its share of changes and challenges, but despite this, our employees continue to not only embrace our culture, but help make it better. This in turn influences the investment performance we deliver and the partnership approach we take to help our clients achieve their objectives.”

To be considered for P&I’s list, firms were required to complete a two-step survey conducted by Best Companies Group. First, an employer questionnaire was completed by the firm’s HR department that captured information around benefits, retirement, training and development and incentive structure, among other topics. Second, employees completed a 78-question survey, including two open-ended questions, which looked at several elements of being an employee at Voya—including engagement and satisfaction, work environment, career development and remuneration. The results were analyzed and categorized according to eight core focus areas: leadership and planning; corporate culture and communications; role satisfaction; work environment; relationship with supervisor; training; development and resources; pay and benefits; and overall engagement.

“We have an amazing culture at Voya, which is a competitive advantage in our industry,” said Michael Pratt, managing director, head of Human Resources for Voya Investment Management. “Our employees are passionate about serving our clients and giving back to the communities we live and work in. We are very proud of receiving this designation for the third straight year.”

In addition to recognition from P&I, in October 2017, Voya Financial was recertified a “Great Place to Work” by the independent analysts at Great Place to Work® — the global authority on high-trust, high-performance workplace cultures. Voya also received a perfect score of 100 percent on the 2018 Corporate Equality Index (CEI) — a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) workplace equality — administered by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation. The 2018 Index marked the 13th consecutive year that Voya has received a perfect CEI score.
