SPORTTOTAL AG: sporttotal.tv extends sports offerings with futsal

Cologne, 28 May 2019. sporttotal.tv gmbh, a wholly-owned subsidiary of SPORTTOTAL AG and Germany's largest multi-sports streaming platform, is expanding its sports offerings and will be broadcasting futsal matches in the future as well. Futsal is a variation of indoor football, recognised by the world football federation FIFA, that is also gaining an increasing number of fans in Germany. From now on, football from the 4th division downwards, volleyball, field hockey, ice hockey and basketball will therefore be available as sports programs, both live and on demand on sporttotal.tv and via the sporttotal.tv app.

The futsal men's team from the NOFV regional league of VfL 05 Hohenstein-Ernstthal is the first futsal team to use sporttotal.tv's innovative broadcasting technology with effect from now. To this end, the club's HOT Sports Centre has been equipped with two fully automated camera systems as the Vfl 05 men's football team from the NOFV Oberliga-Süd (top division south) will also be using sporttotal.tv technology to broadcast their home games.

Greater coverage effect through medialisation

Consistent expansion of the sports offering

Having successfully established itself as the market leader for the broadcasting of football from the fourth division downward, the sporttotal.tv sports streaming platform is gradually expanding its offerings to include other kinds of sport: sporttotal.tv is already streaming the women's and men's 1st and 2nd Volleyball-Bundesliga. All 24 Volleyball-Bundesliga clubs have been equipped with the fully automated sporttotal.tv camera system for this purpose. In addition, the sporttotal.tv's camera technology is also deployed in field hockey, ice hockey and in basketball.
