LITTLE ROCK, Ark., Feb. 21, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Windstream (Nasdaq: WIN), a leading provider of advanced network communications and technology solutions, today announced that it completed its initiative to double the availability of 100 Mbps Kinetic Internet Service approximately six weeks ahead of schedule.

In addition, 50 percent of households now qualify for 50 Mbps, up from 40 percent of households at the end of 2018. Similarly, 64 percent of households now qualify for 25 Mbps, up from approximately 60 percent at the end of 2018.

“At Windstream, we are passionate about delivering premium internet speeds to more families and businesses across rural America,” said Jeff Small, president of the company’s consumer and small and medium-sized business segment. “We have taken steps to speed up our broadband deployment process, and that’s nothing but good news for some of the most rural communities in the nation.”
