Allison Barrett and Olivia Cooper named ‘Women to Watch’

ARLINGTON, Va., Dec. 03, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Willis Towers Watson (NASDAQ: WLTW), a leading global advisory, broking and solutions company, today announced that two senior leaders in the company’s Global FINEX business, its financial and executive risk specialty group, have been named “Women to Watch” by Business Insurance magazine’s Women to Watch recognition program. The 13th annual Women to Watch awards honor professionals doing outstanding work in risk management and commercial insurance. Recipients are recognized for their leadership, accomplishments and commitment to the advancement of women and diversity in the insurance industry.

Based in New York, Allison Barrett is global head of FINEX Financial Institutions, where she leads a team of 95 highly specialized colleagues worldwide. She is responsible for business development and the strategic direction of the company’s FINEX offerings to its portfolio of financial institutions clients, which includes banks, asset managers, insurers, REITs and FinTech companies. Barrett, an 11-year industry veteran, joined Willis Towers Watson in 2013. She also holds a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School and is admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey.

Based in London, Olivia Cooper is the FINEX Great Britain regional leader, where she is responsible for the functional leadership and strategic direction of the business. She leads a team of 280 specialist colleagues and ensures delivery of FINEX products and services to clients in all sectors across the region. She also serves as a member of the Global FINEX leadership team. Cooper, a 12-year industry veteran, joined Willis Towers Watson in 2006 and has held a variety of leadership roles across geographies, functions and disciplines. She is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and chair of Willis Towers Watson’s U.K. Inclusion and Diversity Council.
