Whitestone REIT Receives Unsolicited, Non-Binding Acquisition Proposal

HOUSTON, Nov. 04, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- (NYSE: WSR), a neighborhood-focused owner and operator of open-air shopping centers in Texas and Arizona, today announced that it has received an unsolicited, non-binding proposal from MCB Real Estate to acquire all of the outstanding shares of the Company’s common stock for cash consideration of $15.20 per share. MCB Real Estate owns 9.2% of Whitestone REIT’s common stock.

Consistent with its fiduciary duties and in consultation with its financial and legal advisors, the Company’s Board of Trustees will carefully evaluate the proposal to determine if it believes the proposal is in the best interests of all shareholders. Shareholders are not required to take any action at this time.
