Egetis: Successful SEK300m capital increase
Egetis has successfully raised SEK300m through a directed issuance of c. 66.6m new ordinary shares (subscription price of SEK4.50/share, 0.1% premium to the five-day VWAP). The company intends to use the proceeds i) to continue the development of Emcitate for application of marketing authorisationPledPharma AB is a Sweden-based biopharmaceutical company engaged in the development of treatments that increase the effectiveness of therapies for severe life threatening diseases. The Company's main focus is on the use of PLED-derivatives in supportive care based on an initial candidate, PP-095 for oncology and PP-099 for cardiology. PP-095 protects normal cells during cancer therapy with cytostatic/cytotoxic drugs, without diminishing the anticancer efficacy, while PP-099 has the potential to reduce the infarct size in connection with reperfusion of an acute myocardial infarct with percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). PLED-derivatives also have potential indications for other oxidative stress related conditions, such as paracetamol (acetaminophen) - induced liver toxicity, iron and copper overload. As of May 2013, the Company was no longer majority owned by Accelerator Nordic AB (publ).
