Samyang Corporation is a Korea-based company principally engaged in the production and sale of food. The Company operates its business through three segments. The Food segment is involved of the manufacturing and sale of sugars, flours, starch sugars, oils and homemade products. In addition, this segment produces processed oils and fats such as margarine, shortening and cooking oil, as well as bakery products such as chocolate, yeast and canned goods. The Chemical segment is involved of the manufacturing and sale of engineering plastics, industrial-use fibers, ion-exchange resins, touch panel materials, engineering plastics, polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles and synthetic resins. The Other segment is engaged in the rental business of real estate and others.
