Slight net result decline
Al Babtain’s Q1 2017 revenues fell by 14.4% yoy to SAR290.056m. The cost of sales declined by almost the same rate, -14.2% to SAR214.021m, leading the gross margin to remain at a stable level (26.2% vs. 26.3% in Q1 2016). Finance costs dropped by 18.1% yoy to stand at SAR6.146m. The net result witnessed a slight decrease by 3.7%, to set at SAR39.077m.Al Babtain Power and Telecommunication Company SJSC Formerly known as Al-Babtain Power & Telecommunication Company. The Company operates in three segments: Metal structures and towers segment is engaged in the manufacture of power and telecommunication towers, among others; Lighting and poles segment is engaged in the manufacture and galvanization of electrical and lighting poles and its accessories, as well as the production of electricity distribution panels, and Design, supply and installation segment provides supply, installation and maintenance services. The Company is involved in the installation, operation and maintenance of communication systems, ownership and establishment of energy and telecommunication projects, operation and administration of factories, and provision of mechanical and electrical maintenance services.
