Worrying signs seen in Q1 2016...

Figures in Q1 2016: bad quarter for AB. The NBI for the first quarter decreased by 0.8% to TND67.612m, following the decline of the dominant activity of the NBI, the net interest revenues, by -16.27% to TND24.877m. The low interest rates and the slowing down of the economic activity weighed heavily on the bank’s figures during this quarter. Overall, the bank witnessed a worsening in its banking cost/income ratio by 467 bps to 37.9%, yoy and a deterioration of the operating margin by 4% to 62% in Q1 2016.
