"Cost of Risk" down, "Net result" up!

Arab Bank released a slight improvement in FY 2014 figures. The NBI went up by only 0.6% to US$1.412bn, yoy. Corporate and Investment Banking remained the first contributor to operating revenues by c. 50%, US$762.546M. The net result recorded an improvement by 15.5% to US$574M, yoy. This increase was due essentially to the decrease in the cost of risk by 20.8% to US$259M, yoy. The tier 1 ratio went down slightly from 15.2% to 14.8%, yoy.
