Slovenian Weekly Regional Overview 17.9.2017 - 21.9.2017

TELEKOM SLOVENIJE:
Further development regarding a rumor supervisory board is discussing a settlement deal with T2 is still pending. The only new variable is that the settlement could include receivables due from T2, which would lower the effective net payment by Telekom to roughly EUR 30m. In the meantime share price did not react much as most are waiting for more speculation or are of opinion shares have already adjusted enough.

ZAVAROVALNICA TRIGLAV:
NLB finally agreed to sell its 28.13% share in Skupna pokojninska družba to Triglav for undisclosed amount, thus converting Triglav in the sole owner of the largest supplementary pension insurance provider in Slovenia (combined 34% market share; one of the fastest growing insurance segments in Slovenia). More details on page 2.
State-owned SID-Prva Kreditna Zavarovalnica, which insures primarily short-term operating receivables was sold to French insurer Coface. ZVTG also bided, but Coface outbid them and offered better growth prospects, market and product-wise.

SALUS:
Salus, 2nd largest wholesaler of medicines in Slovenia acquired a 91.5% share in Farmadent, who is 3rd largest wholesaler of medicines in Slovenia. Previous owners of Farmadent were forced to divest due to a new legislature that prohibits the vertical integration within pharmacy industry. This acquisition made Salus a market leader in wholesale of medicines in Slovenia. However, future of the LL Grosist, 4th largest wholesaler of medicines remains unclear, as its owners are in similar situation to that of Farmadent. More details on page 3.
