Slovenian Weekly Report 10.7.2017-14.7.2017

  • Petrol: For more than half a year, after government liberalized petroleum product prices on highways (off highway prices for 95 octane and diesel remain regulated), retailers finally reacted. Namely Petrol has started to test the market by lifting prices at some pumps – probably seeking to capitalize on transit driving season. For now discrepancies are small, however incrementally positive for Petrol and bottom line should slightly benefit (annualized roughly EUR 1m however too little data is known). As a side note AMZS (national automobile association) already launched an App which helps users find cheapest pump.
  • Luka Koper:
    • Cargo handling in 2Q increased by 2.7% YoY to 5.89 tones.
    • Liquid cargos and container freight saw the biggest increase YoY (17.9% and 10.5% respectively).
    • Number of TEUs increased by 8.7% to record high of 232.4k TEUs.
    • Number of vehicles handled declined by 0.4% YoY in 2Q17 which was the second quarterly YoY decline in a row.
    • Preliminary revenues for Luka Koper d.d. increased by 9% in 1H17 to EUR 105.5m.
    • On a first glance results remain strong and 2Q is a continuation of 1Q.
  • Gorenje:
    • Preliminary 1H17 data: EUR 624m of revenues (+7%), EUR 4.4m profit (+132%). Net margin 0.7%.
    • Dividend in the amount of EUR 0.1 per share will be paid out.
