Intel was founded in 1968 by Robert Noyce and Gordon Moore (Moore’s law). At first
the company was an early developer of SRAM and DRAM memory chips but later it
invested heavily in microprocessors which with the rise of PCs became its core business.
In the last 5 years, Intel has been shifting his business towards data-rich markets such as
cloud, AI, VR, and currently designs and produces semiconductors which include CPUs,
memory, storage and in 2020 GPUs. Its strategy has been focusing more on data centers
and shifting away from personal computing. Recently also sold McAfee and wearable
