​- The Islamic finance subsidiary of BMCE BANK “BANK AL TAMWEEL WA AL INMA (BTI BANK)” will start its activities in September, according to the business press;

- The Nigerian Stock Market records the highest performance (+1.59%) among African markets;

- In Egypt, the NEW AND RENEWABLE ENERGY AUTHORITY establishes 600 MW solar power plants worth USD 500m for the Canadian Company SKYPOWER;

- In Tanzania, VODACOM sold all the 560 million shares on offer in its stock market flotation, with 40% bought by international investors.
