African Markets Review 12 25 19

  • In Morocco, OULMES authorized during the AGM held on 12/24/2019 the issue of ordinary bonds by private placement for an amount of MAD 600m to be realized in one or more shots during a 5-year period;
  • In Tunisia, CIE FINANCIERE D'INVESTISSEMENT acquire 160,000 shares of MAGASIN GENERAL (i.e. a 1.39% stake) for a unit price of TND 32 on December 23rd, 2019;
  • In Egypt, EGYPTIAN HOLDING COMPANY FOR NATURAL GAS aims to add about 3.2bn cubic feet of gas per day (scf/day) to local production by mid-2022, compensating for the rates of natural gas decline and increasing the total production;
  • Among the covered African markets, BRVM Stock Exchange recorded the highest daily performance (+3.54%) for the second time in a row, whereas Egyptian Stock Exchange pointed the lowest one (-0.70%).
