BKB Weekly Letter 02 28 2020: Bearish session at the Casablanca Stock Exchange

  • Pulled down by some Blue Chips (-0.27% for IAM, -2.37% for ATTIJARIWAFA BANK and -0.71% for BCP), the Casablanca Stock Exchange closed this end of week in negative territory with a MASI decreasing by 0.96% to 12,260.94 points and a MADEX down by 1% to 10,003.77 points, thus reducing their y-t-d performances to +0.73% and to +0.85% respectively;
  • Dynamic, the transactional volume amounted to MAD 362.6m, 53.9% of which was drained by exchanges on 551,413 ITISSALAT AL-MAGHRIB shares (i.e. a 0.1% stake), 163,503 ATTIJARIWAFA BANK securities (i.e. a 0.1% stake) and 118,649 BCP shares (i.e. a 0.1% stake);
  • In terms of the strongest increases, DLM appreciated by 5.80% to MAD 22.25 for 100 securities traded, thus erasing the previous day's losses, followed by DARI COUSPATE, which gained 4.66% to MAD 3,998 for 19 shares exchanged;
  • On the other hand, RDS lost 9.98% to MAD 41.41 for 27,495 securities traded (i.e. a 0.1% stake) while AUTO HALL fell by 9.2% to MAD 79 for 15,467 shares negotiated.
