BKB Weekly Letter 10 23 2020

  • Taking advantage of the good performance of Banks, Cement and Gas, the Casablanca Stock Exchange closed this last weekly session with a MASI up by +0.76% to 10,453.86 points and a MADEX increasing by +0.78% to 8,501.93 points, reducing their y-t-d underperformances to -14.11% and -14.29% respectively;
  • The average transaction volume was MAD 111.8m, 53.9% of which was generated by transactions involving 178,415 BCP shares (0.1% of the capital) and 11,920 LAFARGEHOLCIM MAROC securities (0.1% of the capital);
  • In terms of the highest increases, SONASID gained +3.98% to MAD 213 for 3,574 shares traded (i.e. 0.1% of the capital) while MUTANDIS rose by +3.5% to MAD 228 for 2,391 securities traded;
  • Conversely, SRM fell by -1.99% to MAD 174.65 for only 8 shares traded, followed by STROC which lost -1.6% to MAD 12.3 for a single share traded.
